Stage 1 Wagon / Stage One Ute swap?

What do you think would be the likelihood of some one wanting to swap a Stage 1 V8 ute on gas for a Stage 1 v8 S/Wagon on gas?

Obviously there are lots of variables regrding price etc but do you see it as a viable option?

Why not buy a cheap SIII or SIIa sw body and fit it to your ute?

Only a few mods to the brackets on the top of the chassis just behind the ute cab.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Biggest problem with your idea is that any sort of Stage 1 is pretty rare - finding two people who have them and want to swap at the same time would have to be very unlikely. I would agree with Diana's suggestion.

I may confused things a bit there.

I have an unmolested 1983 Stage One 5 door Wagon and was lloking to swap for a ute

I agree with you 100% John..

I did think of doing a Cab/Tray conversion to the wagon but as it is 100% original I didn't want to mess with it and wanted a ute with the same Provenance

What we need is a modular system, a bit like Thunderbird 2.

    Today I'll take: (select option)
    1. Stage 1 cab chassis with pod 1 station wagon.
    2. Stage 1 cab chassis with pod 2 high capacity ute.
    3. Stage 1 cab chassis with pod 3 tray back.
    4. Stage 1 cab chassis with pod 4 hard top (carryall).
    5. Stage 1 cab chassis with pod 5 style side soft top.
You just need a really big shed for all the pods!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Sorry, I have a stage one tray back on straight gas, after driving it up a bloody steep track with well over a ton of firewood on the back of it yesterday, I couldn't part with it, it's bloody unreal in the bush!
    Good luck in your search
