    Anyone running Wolf Rims?

    HI all

I am about to embark into the world of owning a series vehicle. I am chasing a cab chassis which will hopefully fall in my hands over the coming weekend.

I have a set of Defender 130 Wolf rims at home and was wondering if they will fit a series 3?

My only concern is the thicker wheel centre of wolf rim might not leave enough thread exposed on the studs. I do like the wolf rims and they give a little more offset compared to the standard defender rims.

    Thanks

I (temporarily) put Wolf rims onto my Series I 88" and they fitted no problems. Will be the same for a Series III I'd imagine.

The end of the studs were a little recessed below the nut, but only by a mm or two.

Never had an issues. BTW - it is exactly the same on my PUMA 110 with Wolf rims, the bolts are just below level with the face of the nut. Done tens of thousands of Kms like this and never any dramas.

Don't know if they are Wolf, but I have early 130 rims on my S3 ex army ute.
They are the ones without the ventilation holes, but similar centres.
The studs are about 2mm short of the face of the wheelnut, which is the same as the original S3 5 1/2 rims were. There is still about 20mm thread engagement, which is plenty.

They will fit however you are right about the thickness of the rim and it is better if you do fit longer studs. I have been running Wolf rims for about 5 years and they are brilliant on my truck cab.
