    Steering Issue Solved?

    Hello All,

Could people please confirm that the track rod, drag link or tie rods in the Series 3 Land Rovers should be totally straight along its length? Yes the tie rods are made out of round metal tubes.

I had a look at Baldrick's tie rods and the one closest to the engine is quite bent.

This might explain why the radius of the left and right steering radius lock differs from each other significantly. Or could the difference in the radius of the steering lock be produced by something different?

Anyway, one of the tie rods is bent.

Apart from being straight is having bad threads is the only reason to replace tie rods?

    Kind Regards
    Lionel
