I think by putting a fake rifle in your car like you said could probably cause Police to have an added interest into you and your vehicle i.e. you would be pulled up quite a bit and questioned about it etc. If it's not a replica rifle and just a toy then its not an offence but as I said before it would result in some unwanted attention from the Police.
