I have a 60's cylinder head that shouldn't have traditional valve stem oil seals, but O-rings fitted into the valve guides, I am overhauling my engine and it seems as though the valve guides had partially broken valve stem deals on the valve guides which i removed
Does this mean someone has fitted the the newer and latest valve guides in a 60's head?
Can this be done? as the older guide with the seal in the guide is very expensive???
