I think we've all done something similar - hope it didn't damage anything.

Reminds me of the time I was using the glow plugs on the Diesel 2a I had in the 1960s - fortunately it was dark so I could see the glow from the hairspring in the speedo........
The speedo cable was touching the top of the No4 glow plug, and it had rubbed through the vinyl coating - and was earthing through the speedo.
Wiring taking a lot longer that expected. Nice when bits glow.

As long as the right bits glow!
Wiring done. [thumbsupbig]
Just need to add choke cable and heater cable then a tidy up.
Wiper motor runs, with no cables on the switch, so am thinking park switch not working properly.
Also oil pressure light came on, but no longer when ignition switch is put on. Might have stuck open.

Thought of booking a blue slip for Mon or Tues.
See what happens over the weekend.
Feeling 'OLD' this weekend [wink11]
Well I know when I’m beat, and I clearly am here. Fair bet, projects were at a similar stage what it was made, happy to pay up mate, you’ve done a great job. 👍
Pity you’re so far away or I’d hand deliver it.
Not beat till I post a pic with yellow plates[thumbsupbig]
That Day has come when after nearly 5 years, Im ready for a Blue Slip
Funny sort of feeling, when you finally get to that point.
All works as it should. Window washer pump was leaking and blowing fuses. Quick trip to Repco today got the pump sorted.
'NEW' S/H AutoSparts Wiper wires Loom had two wires crossed. Incorrect position on socket. Took a while to work that one out.
Pulled apart the park switch, a quick clean of contacts and put back together.
H4 Light look nice and bright, through a Relay, added to AutoSparks loom. What Height should I aim for when adjusting ????
Only issue I need to sort is the Oil pressure warning light. It comes on as pressure is reached.
I fitted a spin on filter housing, and wonder if a different switch needs to be fitted. Will check with Multi Tomorrow, but appear to Earth on Pressure.
Will dig out another switch tomorrow and re test.
My thought were Earth, light on, start, and oil pressure breaks Earth, no light ????
Anyway, watch this space.

Well, Driving in had a few running problems then this.
All day spent trying to get it running again. Turned out to Be Repco points or condenser.
Should have fitted Bosch, instead of FuelMiser parts.
All "old" parts refitted. All running good again
Try again Thurs or Fri, after fitting new muffler section.
