Billy just use a wire brush to clean it up.
I did a fuel pump and a dizzy about a week or so back, using both a hand brush and then a wire wheel, they came up like new.

soda blaster seem so easy to make, and makes easy work of things.
Got a 'O' ring to replace the cork gasket, for the Oil bath air cleaner.
Seem to fit ok, just a plain 'O' ring.
BS260, but wont know if it leaks, for several months.

Either make that, or if auto stores still sell them, I have had mine a few years, it was about $25, was sold as a sandblaster, works on the same principle of venturi, basically it is just an oversized airgun with a black rubber hose that goes into a bucket of sand. Dare say it would do the same with soda. Small compressor capacity means you can only do small jobs, things like a carby would be fine,(or do small amounts at a time) I have a medium workshop compressor, delivers 175L/min of air, have sandblasted a trailer with it, it kept up pretty well.Quote:
