Refurbish or Replace my suspension ?

    Hi All

I was in the process of looking at prices to replace my leaf springs until I came across this article.

Refurbishing old leaf springs - Series Forum - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum

My springs look very similar and I was wondering if I can simply refurbish my springs .... Replace them.

Also can I replace the clamps ... I have 2 that are broken ... Please see photos.

Your help will be greatly appreciated

Was pondering their myself just recently. I'm going to refurb mine, but they look in better condition than yours - they aren't blown out with rust, but the link you posted showed good results from similar looking springs.

Based on that, I'd have a crack at them. Nothing to loose but a couple of hours work.

If the backs are really shot, a good set of second hand ones wouldn't be hard or expensive to get your hands on.

Where are you? Springs are heavy (expensive to ship), so knowing where you are would help suggestions.

The Ho Hars are close to you then, they wreck series Landies, so should have some. Drop them a PM.
