Hi everyone, i just jacked up my s3 and using a hammer and screwdriver separated the individual leafs and sprayed some molykote spray grease in between all the leaves on the front and rear springs. I then took it for a drive and WOW, what a difference. The s3 certainly has a much nicer ride quality than it did before. I couldnt beleive the difference. I suppose the ride is also helped by the OME shocks that are fitted.

I went for a play today in the sandpit with lrregsa club and the ride out there was so smooth and the amount of easy flex i got when playing was much better than last time i went. I didnt get stuck this time. I actually had to recover a stuck 130. Felt so good

Yes i was doing my best. I remember it was you that had to recover me the last time Coop. After going through 40 gates i only had 7 crosses so 33 good gates. It really was good fun today.

Innox is a good product to spray them with.
Jack them up by the chassis to let the springs drop and open up a bit then give them a few good dousing with it!
The transition is unbelievable.

OK, you inspired me. I got an aerosol can of Linox form Super Cheap, jacked up each corner and sprayed each slack spring, trying to get the lanolin in between each leaf.
What a difference! Many rattles have mysteriously disappeared and she now goes up rough tracks like a spring lamb on steroids. I guess I'll be doing this every time the axles get an oil change from now on.
Thanks so much for the inspiration, I would never have thought of it by myself.

lanox, inox certainly, pull them apart wire brush sand clean and teflon them definitely but grease? no.
If you grease them I will come and grease you between the toes throw in a hand full of sand and them make you go for a nice long walk on a treadmill.
its the same basic effect.
