Thread: Ignition timing woes. Help please

You could try disconnecting the vacuum line (block the end going to the carburettor) and checking with the light - the centrifugal advance is probably not operating at idling.

We sent the timing light back yesterday. I think the owner is happy with the static timing that we have already done so I'll leave it as it is.
