    Similar Wagon

Hello Gromit, I missed this thread, sorry.
My Tallulah is a 1971 Series 3 Wagon. It does have the heater fan in the left wing, fed from a grille on the side, and it also does not have anti burst doors. I'm pretty sure it was imported privately from the UK, and not sold as new in Australia.
I've never seen a heater like the one you have there, very odd!

    Cheers, Mike.

This one was a CKD so built here.
As suggested, they must have been using the left over parts. Although the Australian Series III heater blower body is plastic whereas the UK ones are steel so maybe they were still working out sourcing parts locally and that's why they used this heater ??

    Series 3 Heater needed

    Hi Colin

I would be interested in the Heater if your selling. I have just purchased an early S3 1972 Station Wagon. It has no heater and no vent in the left wing so I assume it's the same as yours. I'm looking for a heater so if you are looking to sell I'd be keen.

    Cheers

    Steve

    Already sold.
The few parts available are listed in Markets under 'Wrecking'

    1971 safari series 3

I have a very early "home market" privately imported series 3 (94600053A) which has series 2 hinges, tail lights but has the heater hole in the near side guard. Maybe "home market" were different from CKD. I suspect they just used up whatever parts they had . Triumph did this ...some of the early TR3s had left over TR2 components from new.

Just need to remove the rear fuel tank & axles and then get back to working on other projects.

Don't think I'll be growing tomatoes in the hothouse this year.......

Just about stripped down now, just a couple of items to remove from the chassis.

Looking for a good home for the chassis and rear body section. Too good to scrap but I can't keep them hanging around for too long. Body has no dents, chassis only has surface rust.
Chassis is now a garden ornament but hidden behind a few cars so I'll get away with leaving it there for a while........
