    Fuel Line 109" Series 3 2.25p

while looking at the fuel line on Woodstock, I have the fuel tank pipe to the pump as per pic attached. The Nut and threaded collar appears to just spin around within the next piece of pipe that goes to the electric fuel pump and is held in place by a hose clamp. I'm assuming that the end of it would have originally connected to the mechanical fuel pump. Can anyone suggest a better connection, it doesn't appear to be leaking , but I'd rather get something that looks a bit more stable in there. As usual , all suggestions gratefully received.
    cheers,

there is an olive compressed onto the pipe (most likely just after the hose clamp) the union nut that is up from the end of the hose compresses it into the next fitting in line.

You can purchase the correct fitting that terminates in a barb that is appropriate for a hose to be clamped to. So long as the olive is well mounted you dont have anything to worry about.

IF you remain worried, remove the hose clamp, remove the hose lightly sand and polish the pipe with some wet and dry then solder the olive to the pipe. This will prevent it from ever coming off and you can rely in it to provide a flare that the hose clamp wont slide past.

Thanks Dave. It does feel a bit flimsy. I like the sound of your suggestion re soldering the olive on.
