Thread: Brake master cylinder options

Hi, working on the 1975 SWB. The end is near. Maybe. Has anyone swapped out their brake master cylinder? Mine's a little spongy, and the reservoir is cracking, so just to be on the safe side. Seems to be some options, including some with the reservoir sort of integrated with the cylinder which looks to be a better solution. There's some real cheap ones on fleabay, but I'm not sure I want to trust my life to a $30 MC. Like they say about motorcycles - got a $30 head, wear a $30 helmet. Thanks.

One option would be to rebuild yours - get it re sleeved and put a kit through it. This will be more expensive to do though, but it is an option.
