    According to my parts book the late Series 3 bearing is RTC3429. The number, of course, may have been superseded.

    RTC3429 - Use STC4382

    Yes. I wonder what the difference is. Could be just a different supplier, or even a change in detailed specification, for example increased load bearing capacity with the Defender's increased axle loads with the 130, or perhaps the change from oil to grease lubrication.
