Pulled this one out of the shed on the farm

    IMG_4786.jpgIMG_4787.jpg

Hi -I'm new to the forum. This has been in my shed for 14 years (that's when we bought this farm). I had it out for awhile about 12 years ago and it ran fine, but being tall, I found it hard to drive, so back in the shed it went! I pulled it out on the weekend (needed more space for a new tractor) and gave it a serious wash. Flushed the fuel system and carby, and put in a new battery. Had to hit the starter motor with a hammer a couple of times but it fired up and is running fine. Clutch and braked need work so that's the next project.

From the compliance plate it appears it was built in 1975. Last registered in NSW in 1991. Not sure yet how far I'll go. The kids want it for farm bashing, my wife wants it sold, but it would be fun to get it back on the road.

Just interested if anyone has seen this type of paint job before with the two tone stripe ?

    Thanks

    Mark

For heaven's sake, get the kids something else to wreck!!!!!! Fix it up or sell it on here. It's a peach.

Nice looking jigger,, as JT says,, don't let the kids wreck it

The two tone came on a few. I can't tell you what its significance is, but they look 👀 cool 😎

Wow, what a beauty! Too nice to be a paddock basher, you could easily sell it, buy a basher, and have a few grand left over. If you really don't want it, somebody here would likely give it a good home.
Looks to be the same colour as mine, Leyland 'Spanish Olive'.

I don't know for sure, but I'd reckon the stripes would have been dealer added.

I'd love to own it. Sell it and grab the kids another car!

    Looks neat & complete.
It's Spanish Olive colour (as mentioned in an earlier post) so from the Leyland era. You'll see Minis, Rover cars, P76's etc. in the same colour.
The two tone stripe looks like something added by a previous owner.

Looks like the single cab was maybe added at a later date because of the colour.

It would be a shame to see it used as a paddock basher.
