I don’t know how to PM on this system. Have clicked on the name section and there appears to be no ability to pm, or post pictures. Can anybody help me ?
    Hello again.

To PM a member is fairly easy.

Go to your own member area by clicking on your user name - or when you log in.

    Go to messages.

You will see a compose message or new message box (I’ve forgotten which it is) and click that.

In the recipients box you type the person’s user name (e.g. S3ute) Then complete the subject title and finally the message.

    Then hit the send button.

    That should work.

    Cheers,

    Neil

Wow Neil, thank you for showing me that. May I ask, are those plates the originals as delivered new on the car, or the newer types I have seen on eBay?

Alternatively, is there another supplier if these plates, including the smaller Leyland one?

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Adam,

    Hello again.

Those are the standard Series 3 plates as came on my truck. The Series 1 and 2 plates were a bit different.

There is a fellow in the UK - Charliecc - on eBay who sells unstamped reproductions of the plates.

    Cheers,

    Neil

    Adam,

Put those sheradised screws that Wayne is giving you in a very safe place - they’re almost unique to Land Rovers and can’t be bought at your local hardware store or even specialist bolt outlets.

Regular screws look like crap if you end up using them.

    Cheers,

    Neil

Thanks Neil, I will most certainly cherish those screws in a very sacred manner. My OCD is kicking into overdrive on this car already, and I intend to put it back to 100% original, right to the nut, bolt, and washer. I have restored many cars over the years and they tend to completely take over..

Just collected a spare roof and rear qtr panels this afternoon for the car that currently is wearing the incorrect side panels (for a 73 model).. now trying to determine what rivets to use to fill some adhoc body holes etc...

Tend to get a little obsessed, but I love it!!

Appreciate all your generous help & advise already!

    Best,

    Adam
