Clean the mud (or dust) out of it.
My horn tone and volume have changed. Now have a really quiet and ineffective tone and volume. What can I do to rectify this?
Thanks

Does the car have two horns - a high note horn and a low note horn. If so, only one may be working.

speaking of horns , a couple of months ago I saw an add on fb I think showing these horns for sale which were suitable for diesel locomotives.....bloody bloody loud.
Did anyone else see them for sale there?
They may have been withdrawn from advertising.

nfi what you mean
The mud wasps built a Mud nest in my S3 horn.
Once cleaned out worked really well.

You haven't got water in it, easy to do pressure washing or driving through water. Take it off & rotate it so water runs out the snail.
If the above comments don't provide the solution......there is a adjustment screw on most horns.
This changes the point gap and can be used to get the best noise level.
