Power Steering into Series 3 Project Kermit

    Hello All,

Maximus Ironthumper has just posted a new YouTube clip about how his Series 3 named 'Kermit' has just received a power steering conversion. I am not sure how this method compares to other conversions. Max is from the UK and cites the main donor parts as:
    • Power steering box, linkage and some pipework from a Range Rover p38. (£200)
    • The steering column from a defender (48 spline). (£112)
    • The steering wheel from an MG metro (smaller than defender and high quality leather clad).(£40)
    • Other items came from stock inc: The pump, tank and pipework from a 200tdi engine. The drag link was made from a series item cut down and tapped.

Please feel free to post some comments about this conversion and how it compares to other conversions you have come across or done yourself.

    Anyway, enjoy!
