UM whats the differance between counter sunk & the origanals. I was going to use the origanals or the same just a bit longer but still high tensile. . . .

    What caliper do they take?

Apparently Cortina twin-pot fronts go well on the rear of a series (much cheaper pads than LR)... However another caliper may be needed...
I not sure fender or disco maybe Travis would know

If you use counter sunk you don't need to remove so much metal (like the one travis made)

If you use hex head and don't counter sink the disc will touch the bolts, thats why I said about using 8mm plate that way you can use the same bolts you take out.

I will have a look at my mounts tonight and see how thick they are on the disco.

I assume Adam is talking about using something like this:

To use the original hex bolts you would need to mill flat sections like the old spacer.

Cool i thought the holes where counter sunk so that you could use the origanal bolts..

You could always contact an engineer over there and just ask him about disc brake conversions

Yeah i had spoke to the engineer about it when i got it all engineered & he said i had to make sure everything is spot on as its the braking system..
But i think he has retired now & i know the one close to us here is a real dick i have spoken to some guys that had used him & he wants everything to manufactory spec no matter what it is ...

I think i would get more info from everyone on here..
Not sure who i get to engineer the brake conversion someone who is realistic . I'm a home mechanic not a magor manufacture like holden or ford..
