G'Day Ben, and welcome!
What do you mean by signallers car? Do you mean a military Fitted For Radio truck?
I don't know the answer to your question, but someone else will.Pics of your trucks would be great too!

So i laid my hands on an old signalers car which i plan to take the high speed transfer case, and place it into my S3, does anyone know of any reason why i can't put the overdrive unit from my old transfer case onto the new one?
Thanks,
Ben

I don't believe that there is any reason that you can't fit both, btu the combination would result in some pretty high gearing that a land rover motor of any size would start to have trouble pushing.

I believe that the ratios of all 3 T-case gears are changed as part of the HRTC conversion. If this is the case then the only way you could fit the OD as well is to get the input gear recut (or a new gear cut) to match the HRTC input gear (if possible).
Thanks for the advice, i'll have a look at the input gear on that at the moment when i pull it apart.
And excuse my ignorance, but it currently has a pto winch on it, if the gear on that matches the gear on the OD, does that mean it will be ok?
And Shonky, it is a radio fitted military 109. will post pics when i work out how.
thanks ben
