    $$$$$ for a series 3

Hi all, I am contemplating buying a series 3. I dont know much a bout them and I would like to know what is a reasonable price to pay for one.

It is a hardtop, 15" white wheels with reasonable tyres, a holden motor which needs the electrics sorted,[it was going, apparently, before they tried to reorganize things] Rusted battery tray, small rust in the drivers door just under the window and the same on the passenger door, rust at the back endon panel undef the lights, and slight surface rust on the ends of the front chassis.

It also has the gear lever, a yellow push knob, a red push knob, and TWO other short gear levers?? Veh is X Army too. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Bob

I always carefully check the firewall for rust, especially on the sides. Likewise the chassis condition. For me at least these not only have the biggest influence on value, but they will determine if I buy it or not. Everything else is easy.

My 6cyl ute was $1k with a perfect chassis and firewall. The rest of the body is pretty good, the gearbox needs replacing, the 202 hasn't been started for a while and the brakes need work. Another good box cost me $150 and every other part is cheap and easy to get/fit..... its hard to get a good firewall and chassis though.
    Cheers

Thanks Guys, the handbrake lever was not included in the above levers. Also comes with new brakes[to be fitted] and an aux fuel tank at the rear. Chassis is good except for the surface rust at the front ends. Scruffy
