This is really nice work Banjo!
I'm very impressed - I wish I could make things like that. Sadly, it's not my forte.
If you've the time and inclination, I'd be potentially interested in buying a 'ready-made' one of these off you to fit my little 2a. Blknight's stub axle suggestion makes it even more attractive since my Landy is slowly getting fitted out to travel to Africa and needs all the spare bits mounted it can carry!
Let me know if this is an attractive idea and what you think it's worth.
cheers,
Alastair

the technique I used was to make a small stub like the one you already have then drill it to suit the stub axle have a small plate of hardwood lathed up by a woodworkerto fit inside the lip of the stub axle then bolt the stub axle to the plate. assemble a hub assembley (you could get really greedy and mount a whole assembley including the brake) onto the stub axle then mount a tyre.
some refinement of your design will also allow you to slide a set of half shafts in PVC tube into the arms as well.

Yeah i got a bit of triangle plate to weld at the botom of the pipe for extra strength yet,i'm gonna do the half shafts though never thought of that...
I mite need new springs after i bolt all this on me thinks.
