    Bahama Gold

Ok so my car is Bahama gold LRC.235 it is a CKD vehicle from Moorebank it is darker than camino gold and it was used in the later part of series 3 production. It was also a range rover colour and the reason my car looks different in some photos is because the camera used in early photos was an ixus 400 and the later photos were taken with a 500d. I had an original panel and the compter mixed colour was spot on. Hope this helps.

I am going with lro11's - cause his is the prettiest

Thanks guys. I think cooper is right, a good colour matcher will be able to match the colour for me regardless of its name.

I would also agree the bahama is a little darker (and to my eye has a little more green in it than camino.)

I was hoping to grab some touch-up paint "off the shelf" but it looks like I'll have to get some mixed anyway.

    Thanks all for your input

A lot of places will now colour match & make it up for you in a spray tin..
i like the bahama gold myself...
if you do get a spray tin make sure you shake the crap out of it for a good 2 minutes...

What is Sahara Gold? I seem to remember that being a colour that was memtioned a lot back then.

Also not all LR's had a Dulux sticker in the seventies. My SWB didn't but a friends with a months earlier build date did. Unfortunately I need to find out what mine is now so anyone out there have a 76 shortie in the brighter green have a code sticker to let me know the code? I think someone here recently described an Avocado green - sounds like it could be the what I'm after.

    Any info appreciated.

    Cheers

Now if you have a chassis number or body number on an australian produced series 3 I may be able to tell you what the land rover production notes have to say about your vehicle

There are gaps in it, but it has a lot in there.

Our paint dealer gave us the formula for our camino gold and it can be eye matched by a spray painter

Thanks Cooper, thought the name Sahara Dust predated the Stage ones but I figure your right.

I had heard of Spanish Olive also and thought that was probably what I have however I've been thinking lately that the early seventies grey/blue green might actually have been Spanish Olive given that Olive trees are a grey green, at least any I have seen?

Photo of the Lake Rover around 1980 attached (I hope)
