    Series Overdrive - measurement please?

Does anyone have a series overdrive out of the vehicle ATM?

    Doesn't matter which brand.

Can someone measure the inside diameter of the bore in the output shaft.

Do you mean the big hole in the front or the little bush down inside?

I mean the big hole at the front end, the one that the clutch sleeve and bearing runs inside.

My callipers are getting a bit old, but I get 57.5mm.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks mates!

2.280" is 57.9mm by my conversion. so the measurement adequate for current needs.

The reason, is for my SIIB Overdrive project. I purchased a NOS mainshaft gear for the all helical F/C & one ton box, and was concerned there wouldn't be sufficient meat to hold the teeth of the gear.

If the bore is less than 58mm and the space between the teeth 71mm dia, I will still have at least 6.5mm. Would like more but at least is is not less, now to discuss with the engineering company.
