Hi there all
I picked up another complettte LWB PTO unit the other day - it was salvaged from a very early Series II Diesel (the chasis was beyond repair)
QUESTIONS
Is there a record of PTO & serial numbers which can be related to the year of build.........

There is a PTO for sale on Ebay presently with the following information

I have just come across a PTO with the Serial number 860803. Does anyone know if this may be off an 80 inch. The chap I got it off has had it in his garage for over 30 years and doesn't remember which vehicle it was off as they had many in the early days.

Erich it is quite possibly an 80" originally, the sequence while it begins with 86 (1948 models) the sequence continued into the SIIa production. However it seems that the PTO (output on gearbox) was a common fitting on 80" more than any later model so the 803rd is likely off an 80". The PTO on the rear cross member were less common, but 803 still probably came off an 80"or possibly an 86" if it came from the parts chain.Originally Posted by Bundalene
