    Steering wheel?

After putting power steering in my Series III I don't need (or want) the big steering wheel anymore so i'm going to install a smaller one. Problem is, to fit a different wheel i'd need to install a Boss Kit and that would bring the steering wheel forward a significant amount which isn't going to work. So my question is, what small steering wheel can I put in without the need for a Boss Kit?
    Cheers

What steering column do you have? Was it changed when you did the power steering conversion?

If still series, you are limited to a series or defender wheel. To fit a different wheel you will need a boss, as that is what they do, or change the column to one with a wider selection of available wheels.

Assuming you still have the original steering column, there are two types of fitting used - up to 1967, and post that. You need to say which we are talking about. If it is the later one, as indicated, I think that Defender wheels fit, and are significantly smaller - although I seem to remember it being noted that there are two different fittings for these as well, although that may have been when the pre-Defender 110 went to a smaller wheel in 1986.

I've already requested the same in member's rides, as I'd be interested to see how the conversion was done too

Cheers for the replies. I do still have the original steering column on there. As for a description and pics of the power steering, i'll make a thread in the next week or two for ya I didn't get any pics during the conversion but I'll photograph what I can and explain in as much detail as possible.
