    Modded rear springs.

I took 4 leaves from each of the LWB spring sets. This was easiest, due to position of existing clips and holes.
I put some tapers on the ends of the remaining leaves, where that would have an effect. Greased & reassembled, using a M10 capscrew for the centre bolt. I made new clips, not a tight fit, to allow more flexibility at maximum extension.
Installed on the S2A, it now sits about an inch higher - improvement. The ride isn't noticeably different from the standard 11-leafers, with only 5 of the thicker LWB leaves.
However, it dawns upon me that the rear springs weren't the only problem. It appears the fronts are too high! Maybe by 1.5 - 2 inches.
See photo, taken after modded rear springs were fitted.
What could be the cause of that? Maybe they were reset by a prior owner, but too much?
Should I get them reset, or is there any chance I could find some used ones?
Thanks for all the advices, folks.

Nice work. Being full length though, your spring pack is stiffer than if it were staggered length.

What do you have in the front? Stock should be 9 x 4.2 (ish) mm leaves and a 4.8 mm main leaf. Is that what you have or do you have 11-leaf LWB springs or aftermarket (9x5 mm ) springs which are thicker again.

I didn't think to use every other leaf from the standard set, but it seems to be OK as is, and not much work required to achieve that. A different setup would involve drilling for the clip rivets. I'll keep the unused leaves in case I want to try again.
It appears the fronts are standard 9 leaf sets, going by your helpful measurements.
I don't see any stamped part numbers on them, like on the rears.
I don't know if it indicates anything, but the shackles are vertical, vehicle unloaded.
