Regarding the doors :-
The exchange rate is less in our favour at the moment and remember that you will spend at least the same again in freight charges.
Removing the skin is straightfoward if a little scary the first time you do it, just lever up with a screwdriver or chisel. I then used a panel beating hammer & a sandbag to re-fold the skin after repairs were carried out.

Can't comment on your VIN number. When did VIN come in ? All of my Series vehicles have a chassis number (rear spring hanger) and the plate on the passenger side of the bulkhead.
