    1H9077 Headlight Switch

    Hi All,

DaOot is currently blind because of the failure of our 3rd switch.

Granted I did buy crap ones to try but I'm wondering if the OEM Lucas type are of a better quality or are we better of just buying a few cheap ones & treat them as consumable?

Has anyone used a different type of Off On On switch?

I doubt the lucas one will be any better.
A permanent solution is two fit hi/lo relays.
    That will:
    a) save the main switch
    b) save the hi/lo dip switch
    c) make the headlights substantially brighter.

Dave has them in the shop. Well worth the cost and easy to install.

    Regards,

    Regards,
After having a little think I realised the only lights that aren't via a relay are the parkers & that surely they wouldn't be destroying the switch.

I figured a lower wattage bulb might improve longevity so I pulled out one of the bulbs & found they were 21w indicator/brake bulbs.

No wonder they were so bright

So I've got some 10w ones & we'll see how they go
