Went for a picnic up a dry river bed in my shortie with new girlfriend,
tried to start it to come home, dead starter motor. Ended up getting a tow by a nearby farmer with his tractor to solid ground for push start.
Girlfriend not impressed with landy, me not impressed with holden engine.
Can't have been too traumatic for her though, we ended up married .
the old engine wont start trick eh?! Congratulations.
At least she knows what she's getting into.
cheers,

So, I was going to push Wombat out of the shed, hit her with the high pressure cleaner (that I haven't bought yet) and push her back in, either this weekend or next. Thing is, it's a two man job because the back yard slopes down from from shed.
Soooooo, the lad's playing football (soccer) today, and prangs up his ankle in an 'oooo **** - unable to put pressure on it' sort of way.
So good thing we didn't get her out before the game because we wouldn't be getting her back in AND we won't be getting her out for a few weeks methinks. Guess I'll just have to find small things to break.
Oh, I should express sympathy for the lad too shouldn't I... but I've got too used to him hurting himself - he plays every game at 110% and even though he could barely walk two hours after the injury, is planning to be back at training on tuesday night.
Rear shocks on the agenda for tomorrow. Monday rims are going in for nice new tyres. Next weekend I'm going camping/fishing so no work on the beast. Weekend after that I'll get the custom brake hoses made and put some fluid in them.... then it's flush the radiator, adjust the handbrake, maybe make some floor mats. install some checkerplate on the bonnet to hide all the holes. annnnnnnnnnd it's ready for a roadworthy
Yea I hate playing with brakes.... they suck big time. So cross your fingers for me that everything goes smoothly.
I forgot to add, I've got to wait for my new windscreen wipers to get here. Tried to install my old ones yesterday and the stupid things broke! And I'd spent time cleaning and painting them too!
yea always the way isn't it.... the stupid shocks didn't break LOL!
Don't tell the MRS but the windscreen wipers are like $70!!!! far out.... must be make of gold or something
I've steered clear of working on the 109 for the last couple of weeks as I have enough disappointment in my life at the moment.
