Just when I was getting sooooo close! Found an oil leak that needs some attention. My new defender style wiper arms and little adapter bits don't work either, so it looks like I have to use a shabby looking pair for the time being....

All other progress has halted due to the lack of money

Hang on mate, that's MY excuse.
Chin up cobs, you won't feel better for it but you can pour more beer in with your chin up and THEN you'll feel better

Dunno about you lot, but I have to keep reminding myself that there is no time frame for this project and as long as I keep tinkering and doing bigger stuff when I can, eventually I'll be trying to work out how to fund the registration costs.

They're supposed to leak oil... but the motor reg people won't believe you.

Pity about the wiper arms and the like. I've realised I don't have any wiper stuff at all for Wombat so goodness knows what I'll be doing.

Money I knew there was a reason I shouldn't have bought this thing.

So I've decided that I'm camping this weekend. Tried to upload pics but my phone doesn't want to play the game

Off to Birwood Mill Motor Museum with my Dad and my son tomorrow to celebrate father's day. Sunday, tinkering on Wombat though I'm sure I'll find something to stuff up.

will be dropping a thermometer in the radiator to see what temp the coolant gets to.
Can I break anything just by doing that ? Probably.
    cheers,

Don't have a senior moment, get her up to temperature and THEN take off the cap. Take the cap off and then get her up to temperature.

It's the inalienable right of a man to cock up the stupidly obvious

hahahaha - I did that once - I took a Ute for a test drive - had a whole list of stuff in my head that I needed to check and took the cap off -oh dear - coolant went all over the place . I mopped up most of it with my beanie which luckily happened to be green , took it back to the dealer and declined the purchase on the basis that it was obviously leaking.
    cheers,

    Lethargy

    Hello from Brisbane.

Main thing I broke was a bad habit.

Sitting under the yurt, beer in hand, looking at the project decided to clean up the bike leaning beside it unridden for a few years. Mainly due to what the medicos technically describe as a stuffed back. So, cleaned it up and kitted out like the Michelin man hit the leafy streets this morning.

No longer the Adonis of yore, but it went pretty well.

Now just need to apply the same degree of commitment to the aluminium hulk blocking my trailer.

    Cheers
