    Series II or IIa, Picture of the instrument panel and the chassis number would help.

    Looks like Series II/IIa front with additional headlamps mounted in the wings. Series II/IIa door hinges.

    Paid for but won't get it home until next week as a mates borrowed my car trailer
    Will post more pictures and search for numbers when I've got it home under cover
    Does the engine look Land Rovery its red???

    Looks like the 2.25petrol to me albeit painted the wrong colour and fitted with a holden stromberg carb and airfilter

    It's almost certainly a SII/IIA engine judging by the shape of the thermostat housing, but I have not seen a factory red paint job before (but just because I haven't seen it doesn't carry any weight). May have been reconditioned which is no bad thing.

    Pictures of dash and where do I look for numbers to help ID dash looks like a jumbo with all the instruments

    Under the 2 main instruments is the hand throttle. There should be a data plate on the vertical firewall under the hand throttle.

    Should also be on the right hand side rear spring hanger although it may need a bit of clean to find it.

    will have a look tomorrow thanks for info...if there is no plate could this effect rego down the track.........no papers (deceased estate) but plates look fairly recent last 10 years perhaps

    Shouldn't effect rego (here in Qld anyway) as they go by the chassis number on the chassis. Not sure about Vic though
