That crossed my mind, just put a tarp over mover & engine.
Might do that as there is no room in the sheds.

Just moved 2 more engines.
The C240 Isuzu was a pain, a bit wider than I thought so I had to remove the alternator and throttle body to get the frame over.
Still turned over after sitting under a tarp for about 8 years or so. I'm keeping it as a donor for my Series III shortyhttps://www.aulro.com/afvb/other-powered-series-land-rovers/151959-isuzu-c240-powered-series-3-a.html
The worry was that if something on the Isuzu fails I'll struggle to get parts. This could donate a starter, alternator, injectors, injector pump etc. I had to get a mate to machine a flywheel for mine plus I had to helicoil most of the threads on the conversion plate.....then I got this motor complete with flywheel & conversion plate !!

Just need to touch up the paint on the lifter then look for a stronger scissor jack (if such a thing exists).

Forget the jack, and lift it from the front/back of the frame using ratchet straps. Even the cheapest junkiest ones you can buy will work well

I ratchet strap my engine crane to the tractor carryall to move motors around.

As DChev, I use my Fergy.
If Carryall on, I Add my Engine crane.
If nothing on the Back use my Fergy Jib.

Not practical on a smaller property, plus I'm in enough trouble with the cars & bikes I have without adding a tractor !
