Series lll, Stage 1 and County bulkheads.

Do you know if Stage 1, County and S3 bulkheads are the same? And are they complete?

Stage 1 and County are similar, but have detail differences, for example the fittings for door checks and trim, but probably pretty much interchangeable, although I am not sure about the fitting of the transmission tunnel.

Series 3, four and six are different, and differ from the above in the middle part where they are shaped to clear the engine. The six is close to the Stage 1.

Excellent, thanks for this John. I've got a County V8 chassis that I'm trying to build hopefully with a Stage 1 style body.

I assume you know that the major Issue with the Stage 1 body on a County chassis is that even though there is only a 1" difference in wheelbase, the axles are not in the same position. Both axles are further back on the County, so the wheel arches on both the mudguard outer panels and the rear body tub are in the wrong place, by an amount that is difficult to "fix" with the flares.

I didn't know that! That's really good to know, thanks for this! I do have the County front guards - does that resolve that issue? I think either way, the guards will need trimming for tyre fitment. I'm hoping to run the Stage 1 grill, either bonnet, either firewall, but the Series windscreen and roof. In essence to build it like a Stage 1 trayback on coils.

It'll be a trayback also, which hopefully is able to resolve the rear.

Yes, County front guard solve that issue in the front, and if making a trayback, no issues.

You need to check that you will not have compliance issues with the difference in dash etc between the County and Series 3, but I doubt there will be a problem - there is not much difference!

    I thank you in advance.
