EPB for the Series
Being an EV conversion I have no engine compression holding the Landy in gear when its parked, & no park pawl. Its a worry just relying on the transmission handbrake (even if it is a x-eng disc brake)
So have been thinking about EPB for a while. These Audi calipers are only $170 each , The Servo motors are a maintenance item & only around $60 if one fails or a rock / stick etc smashes one.
Here's a bench test of the standalone controller . Hopefully I get time to fit the calipers to the Landy in the next week or two.

Got one of the calipers mounted. I think it will be a nice improvement. I can easily drive away if I leave the handbrake on now & it has a 4.7 mechanical advantage through the diff. , be interesting to see how much better the EPB are.
Replaced the 290mm rotor and Falcon caliper with 302mm rotor and Audi caliper. I had to clock it around due to the bleed nipple location , but the Servo motor is well protected behind the axle.

All fitted & tested. The EPB works just as I'd hoped.
The original transmission drum handbrake was swapped to an X-eng disc handbrake years ago.
I thought it held pretty good - but apparently not.
On the strength of the car slipping down the test slope on road tyres I wasn't expecting it to climb the other much steeper side so effortlessly,
not a real test but you get the idea ...
