Taking aparrt a Series II/III brake booster ?

Has anyone taken apart a Series brake booster ?

I have three, two of which look like they can be taken apart one looks like it was pressed together then the divets pressed in to hold it together, probably an aftermarket one.
With the others it looks like you need to press the two halves together and turn a few degrees to separate them.

I'll have to make some tooling so I can put it under the press and turn.

You can get overhaul kits minus the diaphragm so I'm hoping I can make one serviceable.

Let us know how you go. I have never owned one of these except for a brief spell with a S3 before I scrappped it and sold the booster (and pedal assembly).

I had my S3 one done by these guys.
    hydroboost.com.au
Came back as new with improved internals. Better than when originally made.
from memory the type you described can be pulled apart.

Once I've made some tooling I'll try to get it apart and let you know how I get on.
I'm only trying to repair one so I've got a spare (having 2 Series III's)

The one on my shorty (Wallit) was repaired by Hydroboost.
An original can be pulled apart by pressing & turning, the 'aftermarket' one is not designed to easily come apart.

I need to boost the brakes on the Dormobile & IIa GS so I've purchased a Chinese VH44 copy which I'll install on one of them and see how it works out.
