    Gumnut - 1953 Series 1 80"

Well I now have three series vehicles (though the others are series 3). My wife had fallen in love with the 80" vehicles as soon as she saw one so when I showed her the pictures of this one in the markets we decided very quickly to just buy it. Went down to Wodonga with trailer in tow on the weekend and brought it back. Hopefully will have it registered this week as it has been a daily driver. Could be some work required on the brakes but I have not had time to check it out properly. It is not 100% original but the changes are improvements as far as making it easier to drive go. It has a 2.25 petrol in it which runs very well.

Wow, Tim and Laurelle, you guys have got the bug almost as bad as the HH's, except yours are all runners. Well done, it looks like a nice little rig.

    Cheers, Mick.

Heya Tim and Wellie - does Gumnut have a middle seat? And is that the exhaust outlet coming out in front of the passenger side rear wheel? I just had a new muffler fitted on mine so it's now on the driver side behind the rear wheel.

She looks great - what colour is it? Kind of looks like gloss olive drab in the pics!

I hope you can bring her on the weekend. I seem to have started something with Matilda - the entire club will be driving S1's soon.
