    Ipod connection Non Premium Sound

Is there an iPod connection in the cubby box or is it only in the premium sound, and if it is in the Non Premium, will this charge the iPod or will it only run it.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

    Baz,
Speaking for only 10 & 11MY's if you have the Sat Nav (& only if you have the Sat Nav) you should also get a curly cable that connects in the centre cubby box at the rear (inside) that should charge & be able to communicate with your system.
This all depends on the software in your phone/ipod etc etc.

The 12MY vehicle does not have a cable at all, it relys on Bluetooth connectivity & the customer to supply his own cable to charge his own phone.

    HTH.

No there is not... But there is an AUX port at the rear of the console and a charge point.

Hey Mike, how do we access this, we have an ipod cable from our old radio, could we use this, I'm assuming that these are a genetic cable plug??

Sniegy recommended I look at this:

    LiquidAUX for iPod & iPhone

Works well.... And the wheel mounted remote is handy

At the back of the centre console cubby box - in the back seat area under the A/C outlets but above the cup holders. There is a fold cover over the socket and rear 12v outlet.

The 2012 spec has both Bluetooth and ability to hard wire an iPod plus a separate USB which will play off a thumb drive or other smartphone. They did away with the built-in curly iPod cord, now have the socket so you supply own cord ( ie easy to replace now). When hard wired, can browse music collection via console screen and steering wheel controls, it also charges the iPod/ phone. Good system but not perfect. Need to physically unplug/ replug iPod if you switch off and restart the car. An irritating niggle.
Mine came with 11 speakers although not sure if this is standard spec now.
    Scary-good-sick sound!
The separate USB connection will charge my wifes HTC phone.

    Hi guys,

I've recently picked up a 7/2011 TDV6 Disco 4 with the standard sound system and have been researching for iPod / iPhone / iPad charging and sound connection.

Seems I need a male to mae 3.5mm stero cable to use the jack on the iThingy and the jack behind the middle console, as well as couple of dual USB car chargers @ 2amp plus per port?

    Does that sound right?

Are there any USB ports in console? My 2010 RRS had the curly hard wired cable for IPOD but later car just had two USB ports, that you can connect anything you like (including IPOD or phone) to. The car has non premium sound.
