    Aaaarrrrrgggghhh

So get into garage last night and car is in full height mode. We have to lower the car to get in. Thinking the worst I checked the roof, and sure enough there are scratches all over. My mother is out from the Uk and used the car last. Seems as though she forgot to lower the.car as she came in.

Anyone know some where in Sydney to get this repaired? They are too deep to buff out.

Also, maybe a stupid question but, since a 4wd excursion, there is a very slight vibration from I think the passenger side front. Very dull rumbling noise too. I have had a look but nothing obvious. Any suggestions before I take it too a garage.

Simon, the vibration is most likely to be mud build up on the inside rim of that wheel. Quite common from sticky mud baths.

I guess it could be - it was a very wet/muddy trip- I have pressure washed the underside though and i can't see anything - could it be that i have just got to remove the wheel to have a look? I guess it won't hurt...

Vibration of a rear wheel can often be thought to be coming from a front wheel and I've found that rear wheels are more prone to picking-up mud.

Doesn't take much to affect the balance either.

The last time I was on the beach my car didn't look that dirty....it was almost undriveable above 60kph.

A quick wash at Harvey Bay and it was all good.

    Cheers,

    Kev.

hmmm, so i pulled the wheels off and can't see anything. The weights for balancing are still on the wheels as well.

I did notice though that i am missing the front recovery point cover. I took it off for our sand driving course and maybe i didn't fit it back again properly.

could the noise/vibration just be wind related? - has anyone driven without this cover on and noticed a slight vibration?

I will try to get another on as have seen them on uk ebay sites (i guess this will be cheapest)

it has to get it's pink slip in the next 2 weeks so is due to go to the garage anyway...
