    Sound deadening paint

I'd like to quieten my Tdi 130 CC a bit. Rubber and soundproofing material is all very expensive though, so I was just wondering whether anyone has had any success with sound deadening paint sprayed onto the underside of the floor of the cab.

If it is directly attached to the surface the noise is transmitting through I doubt it would work too well I've tried some stuff before and found it mostly changed the pitch of the noise rather than the volume

I've had most success using a 2 soft layers foam with a dense layer of rubber in the middle

no where near as good as the professional stuff but was nice and cheap for what i needed

We sprayed the underside of mine with stone guard and it definitely has deadened some of the noise of stones flicking up underneath the car.. can't say it's helped a lot with general road noise though..
