    yes, and no. yes it will work, but no it wont be a good idea, as it will do it some harm after a time. Castrol developed the BOT oil especially to cope with the synchro hub design and baulk ring coatings I believe, after scores of Mustang owners in the USA spat it about the shift quality of the Box.

    and i was going to add that yes bot is exxy, but you only use 2.5 litres, every 2 years or so....about a dollar fifty a week

    I'm using a mix of BOT402 (I think) and Syntrans 75/90 in my LT85 without issues. Feels better than the engine oil that is standard spec.
