Painting front grille and light surrounds

    Hi guys,

The Deefer is going to the body DR in new year as a taxi driver decided to drive into the back of it whilst park near the bowsers at a petrol station. I suppose he could not see a 2.5Tonne bright white box. Moron!

Anyways I am planning on getting the crappy grey grille and light surrounds painted, but not sure what colour?

I'm considering either colour coding them white or going with gloss black.

What are your thoughts? Will the white be too much?

If anyone has done them could you please show pics.

I look forward to your replies, cheers

    Babs.

hi ,i like the flat black it goes with all the other body parts , as has been rover cars ,range rover and land rover ,but in saying that i think all defenders should still have white roofs . regards.

There's a pressure pack Bumper and Trim Paint for rigid and semi rigid plastics available from places like Auto One (possibly Super Cheap Auto also).
It's not difficult to achieve a good finish. I used the Satin Black on a D2 front bumper recently and was quite happy with the result.

Slug_burner, thanks for the photo. The white does look good however there is something not quite right, I cant put my finger on it, it could be the bullbar throwing it off in the white.

I am thinking, either white lights and black grille or white grille and black lights, just to break it up a bit, everyones thoughts on that?
