3L diesel, timing chain or belt?

Not very often I venture into this area

But I've always been under the assumption my grandfathers SDV6 D4 has timing chains, this is what dad was told by LR and that's why we have a 3L, however someone has now told me that's not true.

Can someone please confirm? Then I'll bugger off back to my place amongst grease, dirt and rust

Two camshafts are driven by chains from the other two camshafts that are driven by a belt from the crank.

I explained to you we had a deal with Mr Jorgé regarding the use of his labour, now you go and hire from a company owned by Mr Esposito, do you know how much fast talking I'm going to have to do to explain that one?
And I much prefer it with prawns and garlic sauce, Surf N Meth style.
