I haven't used it - why not the specified Castrol SAF-XO - 75W/90. Is freely available.

Cheers Gary, living up in Gladstone not much in the way of large auto shops with a lot of different oils etc. Would rather use castrol but was thinking of it as a last resort . Found the penrite on the shelf in bundaberg going back there in a fortnight so will keep looking around.
I am currently using the Penrite oil in the diffs on my D4. All good so far.
Am about to run Nulon "Full Synthetic 75W-90 Performance Smooth Shift Manual Gearbox and Transaxle Oil" in my diffs and transfer case. Will advise if there is any change. BTW, what twit comes up with a capacity of just 610ml of oil in a front diff???

I assume that LSD oil is needed for the e-diff?
Put it this way ... a Subaru Liberty takes about 1L of oil in the rear diff, Subaru say to change it effectively every 3 years and they don't break diffs ... on the other hand, you have LR who put in about 3/4 of that in their rear diff, tell you to change it every time haleys comet comes past and intend their vehicle to be subjected to significantly heavier duties than the Sube ... twits indeed, to be polite about it.BTW, what twit comes up with a capacity of just 610ml of oil in a front diff???
