My 130 has 285/75R16s on neg 25 rims. Flares to cover them obviously, but standard suspension (for now)

    Hasn't rubbed on anything yet.

yes good tyre better the cooper STT which I also own (in my books at least)

keep in mind even on 0 offset wheels the tyres will slightly protrude the guards

Thanks Steve I was just about to ask about that, so can I get a slightly different offset so they sit just inside ? I was just going to get some of those black steel rims to go with them. Thanks

There are two option to get your 33" tall tyres. If your using 16" rims the tyre sizes are all metric sizes.

    1/ 255/85x16 - 33" tall about 10"wide. (255mm)

    2/ 285/75x18 - 33" tall about 11.5"wide (285mm)

If you choose the 285 you will need to fit after market flares to cover them.

Pics show my SVX with 50mm lift, and "0" off set King rims.

Thanks guys, so it's safe to say if I go for the black steel rims with 0 offset and the 255/85x16s they will fit inside the standard flares as I would rather not replace them to. Thanks Coxy

I think if you use "0" offset wheels will mean you need aftermarket flares. I put my Discovery "0" offset wheels on my Defender whilst I was getting the wheels powder coated, and with 265/75 R16 the stuck out past the guards quite a bit.

I have 255/85 on standard wheels, no rubbing and about 40,000km on them heavily loaded.

KM2 chopped up pretty badly, the Maxxis Bighorns have survived much better.

I like that external roll cage - is there already a thread covering that? Where did you get it from?
