Traxide dual battery setup 13MY puma engine

I'm thinking about the following setup:
    Traxide DFI - USI - 160 kit
    Piranha tray
    Exide orbital battery

    Anyone installed something similar?

Any tips on running the wiring under the car to the back would be appreciated. Photos even better!

    Thanks

    Hi Tugga,

    I installed a similar setup. Tim's USI-160, dual Optima's but used a Devon 4x4 tray which I felt was a superior tray.

Here is the link to the install. Hope it helps.

    Thanks Wayne,

Got any tips for running the wires from the battery to the rear?

Nowhere to hide them internally so I take it you went under?

    Cheers

    Hi Tugga,

sorry - don't have any pictures of the cabling underneath.

However there is a significant loom that runs from near the battery box, along the passenger side chassis rail and goes up into the vehicle behind the passenger tail lights. If you look in your rear wheel arch you can see the loom with some foil/heat shield wrapped around it where it goes close to the exhaust.

I ran mine parallel to this loom (and also wrapped in foil/heat shield) and brought it up into the rear behind the tail light. Than split it to my control box and Anderson plug.

    cheers,

    Wayne

I have that exact set up. It was installed by someone else however the loom does follow the factory one to the rear like the above poster mentions.

Finished an install and went camping last weekend. System worked a treat - I had an Engel running for three days with minimal driving. Nothing like cold beers at the beach! I'll post some photos of the install soon...
