    Which bash plate?

    Hi everyone,
bent up my steering guard pretty badly slipping into a rut. So that means time to upgrade to a better steering guard.
So basically want to know if anyone has any suggestions for a bash plate/skid plate/steering guard that is compatible with an ARB bullbar with winch for a 97 defender 130 300tdi.
Want something decent strength but hopefully not too expensive!
    Thanks

    APT make good bash plates.
I have their products on two of my 90's and they are good quality and well made and better priced than similar equipment on the market, Ben from APT is also a member of this forum.

I've just ordered one of the APT model from Ben. Looking forward to it's arrival. Ben could teach many other businesses about customer service

APT again, and they come with recovery points and are ARB compatible.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

For what its worth +1 for the APT one. Bought it and picked it up just over a week ago. Really solidly built piece of kit.

Took about 2-3 hours to fit and the only issue was one of the bolt provided wouldn't fit; not because it was the wrong bolt just the Arb bar wasn't lined up with that hole when mounted and the shank on their bolt was fractionally smaller than the bolt supplied by APT. Use of the old bolt and a hammer fixed that problem.

Philco also makes a top quality guard, fitted last week and also ARB compatible.

    Thumbs up bash plate

+1 for forum member philco's guard.... pleasure to deal with and top product at a great price.... fitted dead easy to my 90 with an ARB bar.... like only about 20 mins to fit, bolted straight on.... lots to read on here about his product....

I'm typically late to the party, but another vote for the APT guard. Great service and great gear. I particularly like the separate and replaceable bash plate when you've smashed it once too often.
