						Hi Guys,
I contemplated putting this in technical chatter, but I thought it may get more views here...
A mate of mine has damaged his Defender off road, the radius arm has partially punched through the chassis mount, thanks to an impact on the front wheel.
It's deformed the flat surface around the bush mount, enough that it will need replacing... that's all easy enough for me, so I'll attack it on Sunday.
BUT, what I would like to do is check it all for squareness, so I am hoping someone may have a drawing/diagram that shows the factory check points for this? Does anyone have access to this, if it even exists? We've got to go through it all at the same time, front axle, rims, steering box etc. but the chassis is the only thing I'm unsure on how to accurately check.
I may get in touch with Land Rover tomorrow to try and chase it up too...
Cheers
Will

Measuring it on a flat surface is easy, as is determining as to whether it is straight or not, however straightening a chassis is not the easiest if you don't have the correct equipment.
Maybe Bundalene could help you with a contact if the chassis needs straightening, I seem to remember he had his chassis repaired during reading his Puma rebuild thread.

Also search for "LR4412M" or in the defender workshop manual, section 76, for chassis datum information.
