not an SDV6, but Im using Valvoline Synpower FE in my D3 (TDV6)

I am intending to change out all the oils in a MY11 SDV6 but am having some difficulty obtaining oils to the correct specifications. My vehicle does not have a DPF so the M2C913B or C should be ok?The only oil I noticed on the shelf with Ford specs was Liqui Moly 4500 5w-30 rated M2C934B for vehicles with DPF,would this be ok to use?
Moving on to the diffs,I have some Castrol Syntrax 75-90, left over from the Defender days.It is not the Long Life variety, guess it will be ok if changed in 20/30K kms.The rear E diff requires Castrol SAF Carbon Mod Plus, seems Holden use the Castrol SAF Carbon Mod without the Plus. Anyone used this or Royal Purple Max Gear Mod Plus which is an alternative.
The transfer box needs Shell TF0753, another oil that is not easily available[some have used Royal Purple Synchromax], but like the E diff oil, only seems to be available from the dealer.
What are other DIY D4 owners using for their servicing requirements?Or does it mean a trip to the dealers....bottle in hand?

I've been sourcing Castrol oils for mine. So far it seems the only engine oil to suite is in 20L minimum packaging but the Castrol agent is looking for lower volume options.

Hi Eddy, I have been using Fuchs Titan GT 1 Pro C1, meets ACEA-C1 specification for my D4 (it has particulate filter so this is the correct oil), but Fuchs also does Titan GT 1 Pro which is OK for your MY11, but check on their web site or send them an email. I did and found them very helpful. Oil is from Burtons Auto, around $45 for 5 L.

Thanks for the replies regarding engine oils for the 3.0 SDV6.Am I right in assuming Aussie specs do not have the DPF,although there is,what looks like a resonator before the main muffler? No mention in the vehicle CCF.The owners handbook does mention the DPF and the regenerating cycle.Presumably to cover all markets?
The oil in the e diff should be Castrol SAF Carbon Mod Plus which can also be used as a replacement for Holden #92184900 75w90 GL5 used in the VE Commodore.Whether they are the same I was unable to ascertain from the local Holden Dealer. There does not appear to be a widely used alternative to the Shell TF0753 transfer case oil though some in the States have used Royal Purple Synchromax with no apparent problems.
Basically it looks like a trip to the LR dealer, for me, Southerns or Barbagallos.
Eddy, have a look through this thread, hopefully it helps

Hi all
All 2.7's in Aus do not have DPF.
Was only introduced for the 3.0l.
If u have a 3.0l, your vin will have a G if u have a DPF.
Eg: SALLAAAG incl. DPF, SALLAAAF no DPF.

Does the 3l have a sump plug,or will you have to suck the oil out?
There is a sump plug but you will have to remove some under body protection plate to get access to it.

2011 D4 3.0 in the drive way
1999 D2 V8, in heaven
1984 RRC, in hell
The 3.0 has a sump plug also the option to suck the oil out.
