Pretty sure you'll find that the LED's in the headlight assembly are the "signature" lights, and that no DRL's are fitted.

Turn on your park lights and have a look - the LED's should be illuminated - they are nowhere near bright enough to use as DRL's.
    Cheers .........

The DTLRs are an option combined with the bi-xenon headlights. If you have the option set the headlights to auto. You get DTLRs during the day then headlights on dusk,PROVIDING THE SENSOR WORKS!!!!!!

I think that DTRL are standard issue Andy, only difference is that my DTRL are a std globe vs LED on the Xenon upgrade.

Sent from my Nexus 7 using AULRO mobile app

The LEDs in the headlight are Signature lights.
The DTRLs on a pre facelift D4 are at the bottom of the bumper as per this:
    Attachment 101170

    They are an expensive option!!!

A cheaper option is to replace the factory fogs with Osram LED DRL/FOG unit

I just read in another thread that you can select the Canadian CCF using an IID tool which turns the lights on ad soon as you're in gear
Now 2016 D4 HSE 'Leo' and Steve the Triumph Speed Twin
    Then 2010 D4 3.0 HSE 'James'
Then 2010 RRS TDV8 'Roger' w traxide DBS, UHF, Cooper Zeons, Superchips remap
    Then 2010 D4 TDV6 'Jumbo' w traxide DBS
    First love 2002 D2 TD5 'Disco Stu'

Not a lot of point over here... Parkers are useless on the highway. Headlights or DRLs are the only lights visible on a highway at speed during the day.

I have, using my IID tool, selected the Canadian option. As soon as the parking brake is off and in gear the headlights are on. With the HID lights I am visible day and night.

    Drl etc

    Thanks everyone
Looks like I will be investing in a IID tool
Where does one obtain one of these?
As an aside I have asked several dealers to change the setting for the window up option (ie push and hold the lock button on the remote and the windows all close) comments were "we can't do that as it is a saftey issue" "unable to locate that function" etc etc
Brother in Laws vehicle has this function set by the dealer at his request works fine and no saftey problems as the windows stop and open if an obstruction is encountered

We have replaced the original tyres with Hankooks and so far they are performing admirably, just not rated at the same speed as the originals (will never travel at those speeds anyway) but still Light Truck for load capacity
Road noise is same as originals and grip appears to be the same (slightly better off road)

About to order ARB winch bar ready for "big lap" next year

Good to see that function works PF..
Personally I've never been a huge fan of headlights during the day - especially with the xenon - burning away all day - they aren't cheap so would rather keep them for night running and just have 50,000hr LEDs shining...

Too many times over the years a globe has finally failed during the daylight portion of my run, leaving me with one headlight for the night portion.

Either way, as a regular highway user anyone who chooses to be seen in my book gets a gold star!!!
